WWE Khali to feature in music video
January 2, 2007 |
It’s too late but I just found it so posting it now:
Shimla, Sep 14 - The Great Khali, a superstar in the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) ring, will feature in a music video in Himachal Pradesh, his home state.
The seven-foot-three-inch wrestler, whose actual name is Dalip Singh Rana, will star in the title song of Pahari pop singer Suresh Sharma’s album ‘Sawan Ko Aane Do’, which is to release next month.
‘The title song will feature the wrestling feats of the Great Khali,’ said Sharma, who is also the lyricist and producer of the album.
‘Rana has sent me his latest wrestling video shots from the US and Japan for this album,’ Sharma claimed.
Besides the title song devoted to the 34-year-old Great Khali, there will be nine other Pahari songs in the album.
Rana, who weighs an enormous 190 kg, is an officer with the Punjab police and made his WWE debut in April. He shot to fame after defeating reigning champion - The Undertaker.
The Punjab police recently suspended him for overstaying in the US without leave but reinstated him within hours.
Hailing from a village in the mountainous Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh, Rana did odd jobs here before he landed a job with the Punjab police. The wrestler has also acted in a Hollywood film called ‘The Longest Yard’.
